Eminent Dredging Services (EDS) is a Bangladeshi dredging company founded in December 2019 and headquartered in Gulshan, Dhaka. The company commenced active dredging operations in 2024 with a focus on delivering reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible dredging solutions across Bangladesh's inland waterways.
Bangladesh, with its vast network of rivers including the Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Brahmaputra, and hundreds of smaller tributaries, faces critical challenges in maintaining navigable waterways, managing floods, and supporting infrastructure development. EDS currently operates one 22-inch Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD 550), named Dredger EDS-1. Equipped with high-performance Caterpillar engines and a robust cutter assembly, it is capable of dredging up to 15 metres in depth and discharging dredged material up to 2,000 metres away.
